About limited entries to all campuses

As we have informed you in the separate announcement, Chiba University is to provide all courses by distance learning for a period of time starting May 7, considering the evolving situation of the novel coronavirus outbreak.
In addition, we decided to restrict access to all campuses beginning Wednesday, April 8 as follows, since we believe it is our social responsibility to take further measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

- Students are not allowed to enter all campuses in principle.
- When truly necessary, students are allowed entry with a written permit (permission email) from their supervising teacher.
- Students are also allowed entry to borrow/return library books and when university staff request to visit them.

(Notes)
1. Have your Student ID card ready to present upon entry. Entry is not allowed if you fail to do so.
2. When you enter campus with permission from your supervising teacher, have the permission email ready to present at all times.
3. How to borrow/return books will be announced on the library website. Note that libraries will be closed.
4. Visit the University COOP website for information on how to purchase textbooks.
5. Please stay at home and refrain from going out.
